The Donated Food Management Policy provides ELPs with clear procedures for the safe acceptance, inspection, storage, handling and use of donated food. It promotes food safety, traceability and accountability while ensuring that donated food supports the centre’s nutrition programme. This is not a Food and Beverage Policy and should be used alongside a comprehensive Food and Beverage Policy that governs all aspects of food and nutrition within the ELP.
